RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to fly our aircraft as PIC, all renters must meet the following requirements. Please note that there are no renter requirements for renting with one of our CFIs on board.
Cessna 172 Skyhawk
• Student Pilot (with MRFTI-CFI Endorsement)
or
• Private Pilot (ASEL)
Cessna 172RG Cutlass
• Private Pilot (ASEL)
• Complex Airplane Endorsement
• 100 hours Total Time
• 10 hours Complex Airplane*
• 3 in Make/Model
* In lieu of this time, 5 hours of instruction in this model from a MRFTI CFI.
Renter's Insurance
We do not require our renter's--both students and certificated pilots--to maintain their own non-owner insurance policies in order to fly our aircraft as PIC. Our renters are automatically covered under our company policy. This policy, provided by our insurance vendor, offers coverage only if the renter meets our minimum requirements above and has been checked out in our aircraft by one of our CFIs. This coverage is often enough for most customers. However, many renter/non-owner policies provided by third-party sources can offer lower deductibles, higher liability limits, and even medical coverage options.
Coverage Included with Rental
• Liability $25,000.00 per occurance.
• Aircraft Damage $2,500.00 deductible.
Renter is responsible for the deductible amount in the event of damage to the aircraft while the renter is Pilot-in-Command. Coverage is provided in favor of the renter.
